Beslag Design cares about your personal privacy, and we always strive to protect your personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share your personal information.

3. What is personal data?
Any information that can be used to identify an individual is regarded as personal data. This also applies to indirect personal data such as user IDs, customer numbers, passwords, IP numbers and telephone numbers.

4. What personal data do we collect?
If you choose to make purchases on our website, we will request all the information needed to deliver the goods.

When you register and place orders, you authorise Beslag Design to store and use your data in our operations to fulfil our obligations towards you. We also transfer your data to our payment partners and logistics partners.

Personal data that we collect about you:

• Name
• Address
• Email address
• Telephone number
• User ID, customer number and password
• Purchase history
• Information we ask you to provide if you want to use our services or participate in surveys 

Beslag Design never transfers your data to third parties other than those specified under the heading "Who do we share your personal data with?".

5. How are your personal data used?
We process your personal data to manage your order and to send you delivery status notifications. In order to maintain a good level of service to you as a customer, we document all customer communication that occurs via email. You have a right to access this information on request. 

Only Beslag Design's administration, marketing and sales managers will have access to your personal data. We neither store nor transfer customer information in encrypted form. We will provide your name, address and telephone number to the relevant carrier. We do this solely for the purpose of delivering the goods you have ordered. We will not share any further personal data.

To improve our services and provide relevant content and marketing, we may store email addresses in digital tools, such as our image bank and email service provider. You have the right to unsubscribe from our mailings at any time by following the link in the newsletters or by contacting our customer service. Access to other digital tools is provided by Beslag Design, and all login information is encrypted and secured by the system provider and Beslag Design.

6. Sharing of personal data
We do not share your personal data with third parties outside of Beslag Design for marketing purposes, other than our email service provider and image bank, unless required by law. We will never transfer your data to third countries.

7. How long do we retain your personal data?
Beslag Design retains your personal data for as long as you remain our customer. We retain your purchase and order history for as long as we are legally obliged to do so. In addition, Beslag Design may retain your data for longer if this is necessary in order to establish, defend or prosecute legal claims, e.g. in the event of a dispute or if a crime is reported to the Swedish Police Authority. We regularly erase personal data that we no longer need. Data used for marketing is retained until you deregister.

8. Your personal data protection rights

• You have a right to be informed about which of your personal data Beslag Design processes.
• You have a right to know how we process your data and who has access to it.
• In certain cases, you have a right to restrict our processing of your data.
• If you feel that the data we hold about your are incorrect, you have a right to ask us to rectify your data.
• If you feel that we are processing your data illegally, you can request to have your data erased.

Beslag Design is obliged, once per calendar year and free of charge, to provide you with information on which of your personal data we process, subject to receiving a signed and written request from you to this effect. It may take up to 30 days for us to process such requests. If you send us such a request, we are required to inform you in writing about which of your personal data we process, how we gained the data, our reasons for processing the data and any recipients or categories of recipients we have shared the data with. Beslag Design is also obliged, at your request, to correct, block or delete any personal data that we have processed in breach of the GDPR. You also have a right to withdraw your consent at any time. After you withdraw your consent, we will cease further processing of your personal data.

9. Protection of your personal data
Beslag Design protects your personal data with a high degree of security. You always have a right to access the personal data that we have registered about you. You have a right to have any incorrect or incomplete data corrected or deleted. Your personal data are processed using modern information technology and via secure information channels to protect the data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. Beslag Design's website is SSL-secured (Secure Socket layer), which means that we protect communication and transactions on our website. One way to check the security of the website you are visiting is to look at the address bar. Most website addresses begin with "http://", but if they begin with ""https://" (the "s" stands for "secure"), it means you're on a secure website. Beslag Design is e-commerce certified, meaning that we meet the security and ethical standards for Nordic E-commerce Certification.

10. Cookies
Beslag Design's website uses cookies. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act, anyone visiting a website with cookies must be informed that the website uses cookies, what these cookies are used for and how to disable cookies. Website visitors must also be given the opportunity to give or refuse consent to cookies being stored on their computer, which can be done in the visitor's browser settings.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on a website user's computer. They are used to improve your website experience and provide us with statistics on how you use www.beslagdesign.se. Cookies contain no personal data and are completely safe for the user.

11. Changes to this Policy
Beslag Design reserves the right to make any changes that may be needed to this Privacy Policy in order to comply with new legal and technical requirements. If substantial changes are made, we will inform you by email, as our customer.

12. Fraud management
Any attempted fraud will be reported to the police. Beslag Design reserves the right to cancel a purchase if fraud is suspected.
