Get to know me: Torgeir Knutsen, Salesman in Norway

In order for you to get to know us who work at Beslag Design, we ask our employees a few questions. Today you get to know Torgeir Knutsen, one of our salesman in Norway.

Hi Torgeir! Tell us what your role is at Beslag Design?
- I work as a salesman for Beslag Design in Norway, where I am responsible for the counties of Oslo, Innlandet and Viken (formerly Akershus and Østfold).

How would you describe a typical working day for you?
- I have a fairly varied everyday life where few days are the same. Identifying new potential customers and contacting them is an important part of the working day. I visit our customers a lot to display news and hold product training on e.g. our lighting range. After customer visits, there is follow-up work, as well as helping our customers choose the right products for the various solutions they offer their customers.

How long have you worked at Beslag Design, and how did you chose us?
- I have worked at Beslag Design for almost 3 years, since March 2020. After many years as a salesperson in the kitchen industry, for a long time I had wanted to start on the supplier side. In autumn 2019, I saw a job advertisement from Beslag Design on Instagram where I immediately thought: "It's mine! That's my new job"

What is the best thing about working for Beslag Design?
It's working for a supplier that looks ahead and to opportunities, and that offers desirable products to our customers, and not least pleasant customers and colleagues.

And finally the classic question, if you have to choose a favorite from the range. Which one will it be and why?
We have so many great products that it becomes challenging to pick just one. I really like the door handles in the Helix series, which I have at home. We also have many long handles, where I think the Elan series with 1200mm are incredibly nice.

New Spa Floors at Varbergs Kusthotell

In May 2026, Varbergs Kusthotell opened the first phases of its new spa floors. The carefully renovated spaces have been developed with respect for the building’s history, where generous ceiling heights, large windows and airy rooms allow natural light to flow throughout the property. The interiors are characterised by light tones, natural materials and a calm Nordic atmosphere, with the sea ever-present just beyond the windows. Throughout the project, the T Oliver knob reappears as a unifying design detail.
