Kristian Gunnemo has been a central part of Beslag Design's product development team for 11 years. His expertise not only encompasses design but also converting innovative ideas into tangible products that complement our existing range.

Three quick questions with Kristian Gunnemo

Where do you find inspiration for new products?
– Inspiration can be found in several different ways. Sometimes it arises when we explore completely different product categories, and thoughts about a new form or function take shape and can be adapted to our own products. Since we work closely together at Beslag Design, we also share ideas at our internal product meetings, and something interesting can emerge from there. At other times, we receive direct input from our customers that can lead us to develop new products together with them.

What are the biggest challenges you encounter when developing products for Beslag Design?
– The biggest challenge is to create something that truly stands out and adds something new in a market where there are already so many competing products.

Lastly, which is your favorite product that you have designed for Beslag Design?
– Right now, my favorite is the kitchen rail Aveny. I find it exciting that we have managed to create a modular product that fits into both modern and more classic environments. It is truly a versatile and stylish solution.
